Comprehensive technical guidance for component selection

At Slimline, we believe in understanding the end-to-end application of a system before extending an offer. Our process is transparent. We ask for application details, product details and adaptability in the existing systems in case the product is an equivalent substitute. This is followed by comprehensive technical discussions. We prepare our cost proposal only after ensuring that our team has optimized the required parameters.

Advice on product substitution

The maintenance engineers are often not aware of the latest product design changes. It is critical that they source and install an equivalent which matches with the original perfectly, or else they face the tougher, more time consuming option of manufacturing the adaptor manifolds. We collate and study the complete information on the existing systems before quoting. Additional information on systems modifications required is also furnished. Though this may be considered a lengthy process, our experience proves that this invariably results in a perfect adoption of equivalent components and ultimately a minimum failure rate. We also undertake the work of preparing equivalent charts of all the components used at the customer's shop.

Application Engineering

Many machine or equipment manufacturers can manufacture / assemble a hydraulic system but lack application engineering i.e. designing of the hydraulic circuit. Slimline has been providing this service to a select few customers. This involves designing a cct, preparing the bill of material, preparing the solenoid energization charts, providing a system assembly drawing, preparing the hydraulic system manual with maintenance schedules, complete with details of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance. Our associate company HYDROCAD is actively involved in this activity.

Supply of custom-built manifolds

In addition to application engineering, design and supply of standard and custom-built manifolds is a major strength. Power packs up to 5 to 7.5 HP, involving 4-5 cylinders or motors, can be supplied and commissioned. The success factor lies in the specially engineered manifold blocks. These state of the art blocks are designed with lowest pressure drops saving a substantial energy input. They give a wide range of application support from a small system to a large hydraulic installation consuming large power. Plug-and- play type manifolds are available where even the pump (fixed displacement gear pump) becomes a part of the manifold. This is a very well engineered system suitable for small maintenance presses involving 1 cylinder, scissor lifts, die clamping systems and other special purpose machines.

Total design solutions

We also undertake complete design of the machine along with the hydraulic system. This could be a special purpose machine, special purpose press, material handling system etc. The designing is done in association with our sister concern HYDROCAD who have successfully designed and commissioned various machines. Another sister concern is a company called Oleum-tek (Oleum is a Latin word for oil), which deals in Sauer Danfoss products, manifold blocks, cylinders and accessories

Slimline is an authorized distributor of major international and national brands like DOWTY pumps, ATOS valves and pumps, Walvoil mobile controls (in tie-up with Dynamatic Technologies Ltd.), Polyhydron, Oilgear Towler Polyhydron, Sauer Danfoss etc.
While majority of the components are available ex stock, they can be delivered with a minimum lead time.
